Brett Mann began his racing career at the age of 16.  His father, Jim Mann, owned the number 19 sprint car, which raced locally at tracks in Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Ohio.  When Brett turned 16, Jim decided to let him drive the car.  Brett primarily raced at tracks such as Warsaw Speedway in Warsaw, Indiana (now closed), Avilla Motor Speedway in Avilla, Indiana (now closed), and I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Brett got his first career win at an I-96 Speedway open show on July 7, 1989.  He raced the open shows regularly at I-96 Speedway, and in 1990, he earned the first of what would be three track championships at this track.  One of Brett’s biggest wins of his career would also come at I-96 Speedway, where Brett won a USAC race on June 1, 1991.  The other major win in his career came at Susquehanna Speedway July 2, 2002 during Pennsylvania Speedweek, driving for Jerry Parrish.  Brett also drove the famous Weikert Beef #29 for Bob Weikert. Brett also ran some pavement tracks, and would be one of the more exciting drivers to watch in 1991 and 1992.  He won several races in the SOD series at tracks in Indiana and in Michigan, earning him the 1992 SOD Driver of the Year (voted on by his fellow drivers).

Throughout Brett's career, he has driven for such car owners as:

    -Larry and Janet Bible (22)
    -Howard and Dennis Stone (3s)
    -Bob Seelman (74)
    -Dan Dietrich (8)
    -Jerry Parrish (21)
    -Warren Johnson (U2)
    -Bob Weikert (29)
-Bill Rowlee and Herb Frohlich (79) - current

In 1993, Brett became the primary dirt track tire tester for Hoosier Racing Tire for their Sprint Car program.

In 2005, Brett was the track champion at Hartford Speedway Park in Hartford, Michigan.

In 2007, Brett was 2nd in points with the Sprints on Dirt, and was voted Driver of the Year by his fellow competitors.

In 2008, Brett finally accomplished two of the goals he had set in his career - he won the King of Michigan race at Hartford Speedway Park and also was the series champion with the ASCS Sprints On Dirt.

In 2009, Brett again ran with the ASCS Sprints On Dirt series, and won a season long points battle, giving him a second consecutive series championship.

Today, with over 60 career feature wins (29 of which are with the Sprints On Dirt series, and ranks him #5 in All Time Feature Wins with the series) and 23 years of racing under his belt, Brett's 2010 plans are a bit up in the air at this time, as his car owners, Bill Rowlee and Herb Frohlich are retiring the #79 sprint car, due to the loss of a major sponsor.  As of right now, he plans on running the family owned Mann Racing #19 with the Sprints On Dirt, along with some other traveling series.  His biggest fans are his wife, Kelli, and their children, Jacob, Jett, Cooper and Piper.
